Mechanical Design Manager

Nanomotion is part of JE’s Industrial Products Group (IPG) and reports to the European headquarters. Our solutions are widely used in semiconductor equipment, medical devices, space, and defense industries. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of market dynamics and technological trends.

Responsibilities:

1.    Lead the Mechanical Engineering team in the development and support of current and future products.

2.    Take ownership of end-to-end project execution, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and at the highest quality standards.

3.    Design precision motion systems within a complex multidisciplinary environment.

4.    Oversee product development from specification definition through design, validation, and transfer to production.

5.    Establish and implement engineering processes and best practices to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency.

6.    Mentor, develop, and grow team capabilities, strengthening expertise in core technologies.

7.    Proactively identify market opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

8.    Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Sales, and other engineering disciplines.

Requirements:

1.    B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.

2.    At least 2 years of experience in managing engineering teams (preferably in a multidisciplinary environment).

3.    Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

4.    Proven problem-solving abilities and a hands-on, results-driven approach.

5.    High level of technical expertise in mechanical design, preferably in precision systems.

6.    Experience working in multidisciplinary environments (mechanics, electronics, software) – an advantage.

7.    Fluent English (spoken and written).
