Mechanical Design Engineer

Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components, assemblies, and systems that meet performance, safety, and quality requirements. Working on-site in Karmiel in a full-time capacity, this role includes creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, preparing design documentation, and supporting prototype build and testing. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as electronics, production, procurement, and quality to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and aligned with project specifications. Daily tasks include performing engineering calculations, selecting materials and standard components, reviewing and improving existing designs, and providing technical support during production and integration. The role also involves participating in design reviews, implementing design changes, and contributing to continuous improvement in design methods and standards.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to perform engineering calculations, apply industry standards, and understand manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on experience in Design Engineering and Machine Design, including development of complex assemblies, mechanisms, and custom parts.
• Proficiency in Product Design, with a focus on functionality, reliability, and ease of manufacturing and assembly.
• Advanced skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and 2D drafting, including creation of detailed drawings and BOMs.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams and production environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and standards in English.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Experience with prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical designs is an advantage.
• Familiarity with ERP or PLM systems and configuration management is considered a plus.
