The Role

The company is looking for an exceptional, Hands-On Tech Lead to spearhead the technical vision, architecture, and core development of their platform. In this role, the Tech Lead will be the ultimate technical authority, driving engineering excellence across backend solutions, infrastructure/DevOps, and frontend applications. The chosen candidate will spend their time writing high-impact code, designing robust architectures, and raising the technical bar for the entire engineering group.

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Coding & Architecture: Own the end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of core backend services and APIs, with an uncompromising focus on stability, scalability, availability, and performance.
• Tech Mentorship & Code Quality: Act as the ultimate tech authority; mentor engineers through advanced code reviews, pair programming, and architectural guilds, fostering a culture of clean code, ownership, and engineering excellence.
• Infrastructure & DevOps Ownership: Design and evolve the deployment infrastructure, including internal DevOps tooling, robust CI/CD pipelines, and production environments.
• Cross-Team Technical Alignment: Collaborate closely with Product and AI/Research teams to translate complex product requirements into scalable technical roadmaps and architectures.
• Complex Problem Solving: Proactively identify, debug, and resolve complex performance, latency, reliability, and scalability bottlenecks across the production platform.
• Technical Escalation & Offshore Guidance: Act as the technical point of escalation for complex issues, and provide technical guidance and quality guardrails for offshore development streams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience working with complex On-Premise deployments.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience (backend or full-stack), with a proven track record of acting as a Tech Lead, Architect, or Principal Engineer.
• 4+ years of deep, hands-on backend development experience in Python.
• Expertise in designing, building, and maintaining high-throughput RESTful and event-driven APIs and services.
• Solid experience with distributed systems, including messaging systems and data stores such as Kafka and Redis.
• Hands-on, production-grade experience with containerized deployments using Kubernetes (experience with distribution platforms like OpenShift is a major plus).

Preferred Qualifications (Advantages)

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience building or maintaining Video Management Systems (VMS) or video-centric platforms.
• Familiarity with Machine Learning / Deep Learning frameworks and hardware acceleration (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, TensorRT, CUDA/PyCUDA, OpenVINO).
• Experience with modern web development stacks (any major frontend or full-stack framework).
• Experience with complex on-premise and air-gapped deployments.
• Background in embedded systems or hardware-adjacent software development.
