Senior System Engineer

The Opportunity

This is a founding engineering role with end-to-end ownership of a category-defining hardware-software product.

You’ll work directly with the founders to define the system architecture, validate technologies, build the first prototype, and lead the technical roadmap from concept to production.

Your scope will span sensing, optics, embedded systems, cloud infrastructure, and field deployment. You’ll make critical technical decisions, manage external engineering partners, and help build the future engineering team.

* System architecture and technical strategy

* LiDAR, computer vision, SLAM, IMU, and spatial intelligence systems

* Laser projection and optical alignment technologies

* Embedded electronics, firmware, and hardware integration

* Cloud connectivity and device management infrastructure

* Prototype development, testing, and production readiness

* Engineering partner management and future team building

What We’re Looking For

Required:

* 8+ years building complex multidisciplinary hardware-software systems

* Experience taking products from concept through deployment

* Strong expertise in at least two of: LiDAR, computer vision, SLAM, IMUs, depth sensing, or optical systems

* Hands-on builder with a systems-engineering mindset

* Startup mentality: fast execution, strong judgment, and comfort with ambiguity

Highly Valued

Construction familiarity, robotics, autonomous systems, optics, laser projection, precision measurement, industrial automation, surveying, or cloud-connected hardware.
