Video Editor for Performance Ads – Short-Form Drama App

Shortica is looking for a video editor to turn our short-form drama shows into high-performing ads for Meta, TikTok, Instagram, and other paid social platforms.

We need someone who can take existing show footage and create scroll-stopping, emotional, conversion-focused video ads.

This role is open to both experienced editors and strong junior editors with good creative instincts, strong pacing, and a desire to learn fast.

What you’ll do:

• Edit short-form ads from existing drama episodes and show footage.
• Create strong hooks for the first 1–3 seconds.
• Cut scenes to create curiosity, tension, emotion, and cliffhangers.
• Add captions, text overlays, music, sound effects, and pacing improvements.
• Create multiple ad variations from the same footage.
• Optimize videos for Meta, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other vertical platforms.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience editing short-form videos for TikTok, Meta, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, or similar platforms.
• Strong sense of pacing, hooks, storytelling, and retention.
• Ability to identify dramatic or emotional moments inside existing footage.
• Good English for captions and on-screen text.
• Fast execution, attention to detail, and ability to work with feedback.

Nice to have:

• Experience editing ads for mobile apps, streaming, games, or entertainment.
• Understanding of TikTok-style or UGC-style ad structure.
• Experience creating variations based on hooks, opening scenes, and emotional angles.
• Experience using AI-assisted creative tools for editing, captions, asset enhancement, or creative variations.
• Basic understanding of performance metrics such as CTR, CVR, CPI, CPA, or ROAS.
