Mechanical application engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Application Engineer role based in Haifa. The Mechanical Application Engineer will provide technical support for electromechanical and HVAC systems, translating customer requirements into practical design and application solutions. Daily tasks include reviewing project specifications and drawings, configuring and adapting mechanical systems, and coordinating with project managers, electrical engineers, and software teams to ensure integrated solutions. The role involves supporting system testing and commissioning, troubleshooting mechanical issues on site, and preparing technical documentation, reports, and installation guidelines. The engineer will also assist sales and bid teams with technical proposals, participate in design reviews, and contribute feedback to improve product performance and project execution.
Qualifications

• Strong Mechanical Engineering skills, including design review, interpretation of technical drawings, and application of mechanical systems in construction or infrastructure environments.
• Experience collaborating with Electrical Engineering teams to integrate mechanical and electrical components within complex electromechanical systems.
• Hands-on Testing experience, including system validation, performance testing, and support for commissioning and troubleshooting on site.
• Technical Support capabilities, including responding to customer and internal inquiries, diagnosing issues, and providing clear, practical solutions.
• Familiarity with Software Development workflows or tools sufficient to interface with software teams and understand system control requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Proficiency with CAD and relevant engineering software; knowledge of industry standards and codes for mechanical and electromechanical systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Experience in large-scale construction, infrastructure, or building services projects is an advantage.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
