Senior Technical Buyer – Electronics Components

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Buyer to join a leading defense technology company, operating in a complex, multidisciplinary engineering and manufacturing environment.

This role is ideal for a purchasing professional with strong experience in electronics components, PCB/PCBA, hardware, EMS, subcontractors, and technology-driven procurement processes.

The Senior Technical Buyer will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, working closely with engineering, production, quality, operations, and suppliers in Israel and abroad.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle procurement processes for electronic components, PCB/PCBA, hardware, assemblies, cables, harnesses, and related technological materials.

Work closely with engineering, production, quality, planning, and operations teams to understand technical requirements and translate them into accurate purchasing activities.

Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers and subcontractors in Israel and overseas.

Issue RFQs, compare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and manage purchase orders.

Monitor delivery schedules, supplier performance, lead times, and supply risks.

Support project procurement needs from the development/NPI stage through production and delivery.

Maintain continuous communication with suppliers to ensure quality, availability, timelines, and cost optimization.

Identify alternative suppliers and components when needed, while ensuring alignment with technical and quality requirements.

Support procurement activity in a regulated, defense-oriented, high-reliability environment.

Requirements

Minimum 7 years of experience in technological procurement / electronics components purchasing / technical buying.

Proven experience purchasing electronics components, PCB, PCBA, hardware, EMS, assemblies, cables, harnesses, or related technical materials.

Experience from a defense company or an electronics manufacturing / technology company — mandatory.

Strong understanding of procurement processes in a manufacturing, engineering, or multidisciplinary technological environment.

Experience working with suppliers and subcontractors in Israel and abroad.

Ability to work closely with engineering, production, quality, planning, and operations interfaces.

Strong negotiation skills, supplier management capabilities, and commercial understanding.

High level of English — written and spoken.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under timelines, and support project-driven purchasing needs.

Significant Advantage

Experience from defense, aerospace, military technology, electronics manufacturing, EMS, PCB/PCBA, or hardware-oriented companies.

Experience working with long-lead items, supply chain constraints, component alternatives, and supplier qualification processes.

Familiarity with ERP systems and structured procurement processes.
