About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Applied AI Engineer to join our Algorithmic’s team for a hands-on R&D role focused on building state-of-the-art AI systems for visual content creation.

We work with the most advanced image, video, and language models available today — and our edge comes from what we build on top of them.

The agents and orchestration layers powering our workflows are developed entirely in-house, not pulled off the shelf.

The work is less about training models from scratch and more about building the intelligent systems that turn cutting-edge foundation models into real creative capabilities.

You’ll research, prototype, and productionize AI workflows that combine LLMs, image and video generation models, in-house agents, structured context, and evaluation pipelines. The role sits at the intersection of research, product, and engineering — building capabilities that artists, designers, and creative teams use in production.

Responsibilities

• Research and build AI workflows for visual content creation, combining image/video generation, LLM reasoning, and agentic systems.
• Design orchestration and context-management layers on top of foundation models (handling brand guidelines, assets, references, templates, user intent, and production constraints).
• Prototype new capabilities rapidly and validate them through structured, data-driven experiments — defining metrics, evaluation sets, A/B tests, and error analysis.
• Drive projects end-to-end: from research through production deployment, monitoring, and improvement in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with software engineers and use AI-first development tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc.) to accelerate the work.

Requirements

• 3–5 years in AI/ML development, computer vision, or related software-focused R&D.
• Strong Python and software engineering skills, with experience shipping production-grade systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and foundation models — APIs, orchestration, prompt engineering, structured outputs, or agentic workflows.
• Background in computer vision, image processing, or creative generation.
• Experience designing data-driven experiments (evaluation methods, metrics, iteration) and working with large-scale datasets and pipelines.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar).
• Proficiency with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Devin, etc.) as part of your development workflow.
• Ability to own projects independently in fast-moving, ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments.

Nice to have

• 1–2 years hands-on with Generative AI — image/video generation, diffusion, or multimodal models.
• Experience building AI agents and agentic software workflows.
• Experience with evaluation frameworks for LLMs, image, video, or multimodal systems.
• Experience at product companies, ideally in gaming, creative AI, design tools, or visual content
