Position Overview-

• Opto-Mechanical Design Engineer taking complete, end-to-end (E2E) ownership over the design, development, simulation, and manufacturing of highly complex opto-electronic and structural assemblies.
• Partnering side-by-side with specialized experimental physicists and optics experts to design high-precision optical benches, implement complex sub-assemblies on testbeds, and manage technical relationships with leading global component vendors and subcontractors.
• Carrying mechanical solutions from initial conceptual layout and robust CAD mapping through testing, validation loops, cleanroom assembly support, and structural prototyping.

Requirements-

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from a leading academic institution - Mandatory
• 3+ years of professional experience in Opto-Mechanical Design OR 5+ years of dedicated experience in complex Mechanical Design from other precision engineering domains - Mandatory
• Advanced, hands-on mastery of 3D modeling frameworks utilizing SolidWorks CAD software - Mandatory
• Deep structural understanding of mechanical drawing standards, tight geometric tolerances (GD&T), and precision tolerance analysis for micro-positioning or optical alignments - Mandatory
• Proven practical background operating within complex, multidisciplinary product environments alongside hands-on experience in physical assembly, troubleshooting, and lab testing - Mandatory
• Demonstrated experience collaborating directly with manufacturing vendors, hardware fabricators, and external machine shops - Mandatory
