Company Description B.M.T Diagnostics Ltd., founded in 2008 in Israel, specializes in rapid diagnostic solutions for point-of-care and self-testing. The company was the first to introduce over-the-counter rapid tests for Strep A diagnosis in Israeli pharmacies, supporting more efficient patient screening and helping reduce unnecessary antibiotic use. B.M.T’s strategy emphasizes empowering patients to take an active role in their health, while supporting physicians and health organizations with reliable rapid diagnostic tools. The company now also serves leading HMOs, which deploy its tests across their clinics. B.M.T develops, manufactures, distributes, and sells rapid diagnostic tests across multiple areas, including infectious diseases, fertility, early disease markers, urinalysis, urinary tract infections, and drugs of abuse.

Role Description The Manufacturing Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Or Akiva, responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations of rapid diagnostic products. This role involves managing production planning and scheduling to meet output, cost, and delivery targets while maintaining high quality and compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The Manufacturing Manager will lead and develop production teams, monitor key performance indicators, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in processes, equipment utilization, and workflow. Responsibilities include coordinating with quality, R&D, supply chain, and maintenance teams to resolve production issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, and support scale-up of new products. The role also includes preparing operational reports, managing budgets and resources, and ensuring documentation and procedures are up to date and followed on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Manufacturing Operations and Production Management, including hands-on experience running and improving factory floor processes.
• Proficiency in Production Planning and Operations Management to effectively schedule, allocate resources, and meet delivery and cost targets.
• Demonstrated experience in Quality Control within a regulated manufacturing environment, ideally in diagnostics, medical devices, or related life sciences industries.
• Proven people-management skills, including leading production teams, coaching staff, and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related technical field; an advanced degree is an advantage.
• Experience with ISO, GMP, or similar quality and regulatory standards relevant to diagnostics or healthcare manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into operational actions.
• Effective communication skills in English; Hebrew proficiency is highly beneficial for day-to-day collaboration on site.
