Position Overview-

• Java Backend Engineering Team Lead taking core technical and managerial ownership over a strategic R&D squad, reporting directly to engineering leadership.
• Acting as a true foundational leader in a hybrid 20%–40% Hands-On capacity architecting high-throughput microservices while establishing execution methodologies for the squad.
• Tasked with building and scaling the team from scratch, which will combine managing existing top-tier talent with driving the hiring processes for new engineering recruits to reach a target headcount of 5 to 6 developers.
• Operating within a robust, high-scale technological ecosystem primarily centered on Java (Spring Boot) with architectural touchpoints in Go, Python, and native AWS infrastructure.

Requirements-

• 2+ years of proven professional experience in a Team Lead or Engineering Management capacity, directly managing organic software development squads - Mandatory
• 5+ years of hands-on professional background specializing in Backend Software Engineering with an expert-level mastery of Java (Spring Boot), or strong multi-language fluency across Node.js, Python, or Go - Mandatory
• Proven professional background architecting, deploying, and optimizing high-scale applications within a major Public Cloud ecosystem (specifically AWS) - Mandatory
• Deep technical grasp of modern microservices topologies, containerized workflows, and asynchronous messaging architectures - Mandatory
• Prior professional experience working within fast-paced, high-ownership startup or hyper-growth scale-up environments - Mandatory
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead technical professionals and drive recruitment processes - Mandatory
