Backend Engineer

Located in the premier Herzliya and operating on an exceptionally flexible, employee-centric hybrid model with three days of remote work per week.

Position Overview-

• Openings for both a Tech Lead and Senior C++ Distributed Systems Engineer, joining a core, elite backend squad of 3 engineers who own the company's foundational data restoration and replication engine.
• Taking comprehensive architectural and technical ownership over performance-critical, system-level software handling immense high-throughput data operations.
• Engineering highly scalable, fault-tolerant software layers running on Linux that natively interface with low-level kernel storage architectures, distributed networking spaces, and virtualized workloads inside AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes infrastructure.

Requirements-

• 5 years of proven professional experience specializing in low-level software engineering using C or C++ within complex product ecosystems - Mandatory
• Extensive, hands-on production engineering experience building and optimizing multi-threaded, asynchronous, or performance-critical backend systems - Mandatory
• Strong architectural familiarity with low-level systems engineering under Linux (including memory profiling, locking primitives, and system calls) - Mandatory
• Proven background or deep technical exposure within at least one of the following domains: Virtualization, Storage Engines, Hypervisors, or Low-Level Networking Layers - Strong Advantage
• Prior technical leadership, project mapping, or mentorship experience (required for the Tech Lead position) - Strong Advantage
• Practical experience designing infrastructure configurations or data pipelines bridging to Public Cloud architectures (AWS / Azure) or Kubernetes topologies - Advantage
• Exceptional analytical problem-solving capabilities with a deep engineering focus on building fault-tolerant production environments - Mandatory
