Laboratory Engineer

Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is seeking a Mechanical Laboratory Engineer to support advanced teaching and research laboratories within the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The role includes operation, maintenance, development, and implementation of experimental mechanical and electromechanical systems in a dynamic academic and research environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and maintain laboratory experimental systems
• Support students and researchers in laboratory and workshop activities
• Develop and implement new research and teaching systems
• Work with mechanical design, modeling, and laboratory equipment
• Manage equipment procurement, suppliers, and inventory
• Maintain safety procedures and technical documentation

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (M.Sc. preferred)
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience operating and maintaining laboratory experimental equipment
• Experience in mechanical design and CAD/modeling software
• Experience building and assembling mechanical and electromechanical systems
• Advantage: experience with flow and heat transfer systems
• Advantage: training/instruction experience
