Junior Software Engineer in Test

About The Role

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer in Test to join our engineering team and help improve the quality, reliability, and efficiency of our product.

This is a technical junior role for someone at the beginning of their career who enjoys writing code, understanding how products work, and finding smarter ways to test complex systems.

You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other engineering team members to design, build, and maintain automated tests for a data-heavy SaaS product. You will also use modern AI tools to accelerate test creation, improve coverage, analyze failures, and make our testing process more efficient.

This role is a great fit for a recent graduate with strong analytical abilities, good coding foundations, high attention to detail, and the motivation to grow into a strong automation and quality engineer.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain automated tests for web application flows using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• Create test scenarios based on real product behavior, user flows, data logic, and edge cases.
• Work with developers and product managers to understand new features, expected behavior, and potential risks.
• Use AI tools to support test planning, test generation, failure analysis, and test coverage improvements.
• Test product areas involving dashboards, reports, cloud cost data, recommendations, customer workflows, and integrations.
• Investigate bugs, reproduce issues, document findings clearly, and communicate them effectively to the team.
• Help improve the structure, maintainability, and reliability of our automated test suite.
• Participate in release processes and help ensure that new features are delivered with high quality.
  
  

• Recent graduate in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Good coding foundations, preferably in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or a similar language.
• Strong analytical thinking and high attention to detail.
• Interest in automation, testing, product quality, and modern engineering practices.
• Ability to understand product flows and translate them into clear test scenarios.
• Fast learner with a proactive and independent working style.
• Comfortable using AI tools as part of the work process.
• Good communication skills and the ability to explain issues clearly.
  
  

• Experience with Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or other automation frameworks.
• Experience with API testing.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, or basic development workflows.
• Experience testing SaaS products, dashboards, reports, or data-heavy systems.
• Academic, personal, or internship project involving automation, testing, data, or web applications.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with SQL or working with data.
