Software Engineer

DevRob helps industrial manufacturers diagnose and fix equipment faults faster. Our voice-first AI platform lets maintenance technicians on the factory floor talk to a diagnostic assistant that draws on machine manuals, fault history, ERP records, and live machine data, in any language, hands-free. Every diagnosis makes the system smarter: knowledge compounds per machine and per factory, building a moat no manual or ticket system captures.

Role Description

Founding Engineer: a generalist role on a very small team, working directly with the CTO. You'll build across the stack, including backend services, LLM/RAG pipelines, voice interfaces, ERP integrations (SAP, Priority), and the AWS infrastructure underneath. You'll visit customer factories, see how technicians actually use the product, and turn what you learn into what we ship next. You'll own architecture decisions, not just implement them.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, with strong fundamentals in software design and systems thinking.
•  Experience integrating across systems and data flows, especially messy, fragmented, or legacy data (ERPs, industrial systems, scanned PDFs... we have it all)
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs, or demonstrated depth of curiosity about agentic systems and what it takes to make them reliable in production
• Clear communication and an ownership mindset. You'll talk to customers, not just tickets.
• Bonus: industrial automation (PLCs, OPC UA, OT/IT integration), voice interfaces, German, or B2B software for manufacturing
