General Operative

At Panda, Ireland’s largest waste management business, we’re looking for reliable, hard-working people to join our operations team.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll support the safe and efficient collection, movement and handling of waste and recycling materials. You’ll be working outdoors, as part of a close-knit team, helping to deliver an essential service to our customers and communities.

As a General Operative Support at Panda, you’ll play an important part in keeping our services running smoothly. The work is physical, fast-paced and practical, so we’re looking for someone dependable, safety-focused and willing to get stuck in.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Collect and return customers’ bins along designated routes safely and efficiently
• Work outdoors with early starts and early finishes
• Load and unload vehicles safely
• Move, stack and handle materials in line with correct storage and safety practices
• Support warehouse and yard operations where required
• Carry out general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean, safe and organised
• Inspect equipment and report any faults, damage or wear and tear
• Follow all Health & Safety regulations, site rules and company procedures
• Represent Panda professionally when dealing with customers and members of the public
• Work effectively as part of a busy team, while also being able to use your own initiative
• Develop your skills in the use of loaders and material-handling equipment where required
• Complete any other reasonable duties assigned by your manager
  
  

About You

• Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work
• Previous manual labour experience is required
• Own transport is required
• Good command of the English language
• Reliable, trustworthy and dependable
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Able to work without constant supervision
• Friendly, professional and safety-conscious
  
  

Full training will be provided. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a practical, hands-on role with a business that plays a key part in environmental services and resource recovery across Ireland.
