Electronics Manufacturing Engineer (NPI)

A leading defense company is looking for an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer (NPI)

Job Description:

• Support R&D processes with a focus on Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) and transfer from development to production, including production file setup
• Define and design manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies (PCBs)
• Work with subcontractors and manage vendors בתחום PCB assembly
• Provide ongoing support to production lines and resolve real-time issues and challenges
• Lead failure investigations (Root Cause Analysis) and drive continuous improvement
• Optimize processes and reduce costs while maintaining manufacturing knowledge
• Write work instructions, specifications, and manufacturing procedures
• Support first article builds and train production personnel
• Work cross-functionally with R&D, procurement, production, and customers

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering – Mandatory
• At least 2 years of experience in the electronics field – Mandatory
• Proven experience in NPI / transfer from development to production – Mandatory
• Experience managing subcontractors for electronic assemblies – Mandatory
• Experience supporting manufacturing processes of electronic boards – Mandatory
• Strong knowledge of electronic components and ability to find alternates – Mandatory
• Experience in troubleshooting and leading failure investigations – Mandatory
• Ability to read and understand complex/system-level schematics – Mandatory
• Experience creating BOMs and production files – Advantage
• Familiarity with cable manufacturing processes – Advantage
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with high ownership
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• High motivation and willingness to work extended hours when needed
