The Role

VYBS is looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join our growing backend and platform team.

This is a full-time position based in Tel Aviv (4 days on-site). You'll take real end-to-end ownership of the systems that power our platform — from the APIs serving hundreds of thousands of users to the real-time infrastructure matching players with games. At VYBS, your work hits production fast and has a direct impact on the business.

What You'll Do

• Build and scale the backend of our large-scale B2C app, owning features from design through deployment.
• Build and evolve our media platform — matching users and games in real time with low latency and high reliability.
• Collaborate with data engineers to collect, process, and make sense of billions of data points per day.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to build infrastructure for training and serving real-time machine learning models.
• Drive architectural decisions and contribute to engineering best practices across the team.
• Monitor, debug, and continuously improve the performance and reliability of production systems.

Our tech stack includes Go, Python, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, Snowflake, and more.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping production backend systems.
• Experience deploying and operating software in the cloud (AWS or equivalent).
• Experience working with Claude Code or similar agentic development tools.
• A bias toward shipping, iterating, and taking ownership in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, APIs, and data modeling.
• Availability to work from our Tel Aviv office four days a week.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Go or Python in a production backend context.
• Familiarity with real-time data pipelines or stream processing.
• Experience working with ML infrastructure or model serving systems.
• Background in ad tech, marketplace platforms, or mobile app backends.
• Experience with Snowflake or similar data warehouse technologies.
