Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role as a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) specializing in Microsoft SQL Server, placed by Keystone Solutions & Strategy at a leading client site in Israel. The DBA will take full end-to-end ownership of the organization's database systems, including day-to-day operations, performance, availability, backups, and data security. This is a 100% Hands-On individual contributor role with professional leadership of the DB domain — not a management position.

Key responsibilities include:

• Full administration and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server environments (Production & Test)
• Performance monitoring, Deadlock resolution, Query Optimization, and Performance Tuning
• Backup and recovery management, including Transaction Log Backups and periodic restore tests
• Version upgrades, preventive maintenance, and continuous database performance improvement
• User management, permissions, and data security enforcement per organizational policy and Best Practices
• DR support and disaster recovery processes
• Collaboration with Infrastructure, Application teams, and external vendors
• Support for complementary systems including MongoDB, Oracle, Priority ERP, and BI platforms
• Documentation, Change Management compliance, and ongoing task tracking

Qualifications

Required:

• 2–4 years of hands-on Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience
• Proven experience in SQL Server setup, administration, and ongoing maintenance
• Experience in backup and recovery management, including Transaction Log Backups
• Strong Performance Tuning and database optimization skills
• Experience in user management and data security
• Background in Production environments at mid-to-large scale organizations
• Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail

Advantage:

• Experience with MongoDB or Oracle DB
• Familiarity with Priority ERP database environments
• Experience supporting BI servers
• Experience working with NetApp storage
• Familiarity with cloud, on-prem, or hybrid environments
