A leading global aerospace and defense company is seeking a Director of Business Development - Europe
The role focuses on driving strategic growth initiatives across international markets, managing senior-level customer relationships, and leading complex commercial engagements in advanced aerospace and defense systems.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead business development activities across global markets.
- Identify, develop, and drive new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Manage relationships with global customers, government stakeholders, and strategic partners.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations and end-to-end business proposals.
- Promote advanced aerospace and defense solutions to international clients.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and program management.
- Support long-term strategic growth initiatives and market expansion activities.
- Represent the company in customer meetings, international exhibitions, and overseas business engagements.
- Translate customer needs into business opportunities and strategic growth directions.
- Drive collaboration across the organization to maximize business impact.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree – an advantage.
- At least 10 years of experience in business development, international marketing, or strategic sales within the aerospace or defense industry.
- Proven experience working with Ministries of Defense, armed forces, or leading defense/aerospace contractors.
- Strong track record in identifying and developing international business opportunities.
- Experience leading complex commercial negotiations and business proposals end-to-end.
- Experience with large-scale, multidisciplinary aerospace or defense programs.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with senior stakeholders.
- Native-level English; additional languages – an advantage.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, global, and matrix environment.
