We are building an AI Operating System for Video — a platform that can watch, understand, investigate, and act on video at scale.

Today, we work with enterprise customers, governments, and critical infrastructure organizations.

Now we're looking for the engineering leader who will help us build the next chapter.

You will lead the technical future of the company and its entire R&D.

This role is roughly 50% hands-on.

If your ideal day consists mostly of meetings, this is probably not the right role.

• Building agentic systems that reason over large-scale video.
• Scaling AI pipelines across thousands of live video streams.
• Turning research breakthroughs into production systems - and FAST.
• Deploying mission-critical AI environments where downtime is not an option.
• Designing systems that run across cloud, edge, on-premise, and air-gapped environments.

You have deep, hands-on expertise in most of the following areas:

• Leading engineering organizations while remaining capable of contributing technically through architecture reviews, code reviews, debugging, and hands-on development when needed. 
• Computer Vision systems, including VLMS, Embedding models, object detection, tracking, multi-camera tracking, ReID, video understanding, and real-time inference pipelines.
• Large-scale video infrastructure, including RTSP/WebRTC/HLS streaming, video ingestion, processing, storage, and analysis across hundreds or thousands of concurrent streams.
• Building and scaling production-grade AI systems, from research to serving customers at scale.
• Modern Agentic AI architectures, LLM orchestration, AI agents, and SOTA open-source models.
• High-performance AI infrastructure, including GPU inference, optimization, distributed workloads, NVIDIA ecosystem, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud/on-prem deployments.
• Designing mission-critical distributed systems with strict requirements around latency, reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance.

Own architecture across AI, infrastructure, video pipelines, and deployment environments.

Make strategic technology decisions that scale with company growth.

Establish engineering standards without creating bureaucracy.

Drive technical excellence across the company.

Translate business priorities into engineering execution.

Create clarity in ambiguous environments.

Drive delivery with urgency.

Remove obstacles.

Push teams toward outcomes rather than activity.

Obsess over latency, uptime, and customer success.

Build systems that continue working when conditions are imperfect. Especially when conditions are imperfect.

Work directly with customers, product, operations, and company leadership.

Represent technical credibility in enterprise and government engagements.

Help shape company strategy beyond engineering.

Experience in:

• Video surveillance platforms/VMS
• Government deployments
• Air-gapped environments
• Compliance certification
• FedRAMP-like environments
