Mylo is an early-stage startup building the next generation of dating apps - designed to help people find meaningful connections, not just matches. We combine thoughtful product design, strong branding, and smart technology to reimagine how dating should feel.

After our successful launch, we’re now gearing up for a massive U.S. expansion.

As our Head of R&D, you will bridge the gap between high-level architectural vision and day-to-day execution. You are a player-coach who isn't afraid to dive into the code while leading our engineering efforts to build, scale, and optimize our AI-driven dating platform.

What You'll Do:

Be a Hands-on Lead Architect: Architect, develop, test, and document core components. You will code alongside the team, ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions.

Lead & Grow the Team: Manage and mentor a high-performing cross-functional team of 4 (FE, BE, QA).

Bridge Technical & Business Worlds: Act as the technical partner for Product, Design, and Marketing. Translate business requirements into technical reality while ensuring seamless collaboration across all departments.

Own the Tech Lifecycle: Lead the full SDLC, from AI feature implementation and infrastructure (AWS) to CI/CD and production deployment.

Who You Are:

5+ years of software development experience in Backend or Full-Stack development, with strong expertise in Python and/or .NET Core

+3 years of experience leading development teams, including mentoring, coaching, and motivating engineers to achieve high performance.

2+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, including maintenance, monitoring, and cost optimization (AWS or others).

Hands-on experience building AI-powered applications and working with multiple LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Azure OpenAI, etc.).

Knowledge of AI agents, RAG architectures, vector databases, and modern AI application development.

Strong understanding of data platforms and architectures, including both structured and unstructured data.

Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple concurrent projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
