The Role (The "80/20" Balance)

We are looking for a Senior Backend Tech Lead / Developer who will bridge the gap between heavy-lifting production code and strategic technical leadership. This position is designed for a top-tier Senior Engineer who aims to transition into a management or architectural track in the future.

• 80% Hands-on Development: Writing clean, scalable, and high-performance Python code, solving complex backend challenges, and working closely with our ML core.
• 20% Cross-Company Technical Impact: Leading cross-functional technical processes, driving advanced POCs, and mentoring other developers to guide them toward architectural best practices.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build robust, scalable backend architectures for our core ML-driven product.
• Spend 80% of your time in the trenches, coding and delivering high-quality features.
• Lead complex POCs (Proof of Concepts) from ideation to execution, evaluating new technologies and methodologies.
• Oversee cross-company technical initiatives, ensuring high code quality and architectural alignment across the R&D team.
• Act as the "Next Level" focal point for the team, mentoring peers and paving your way into future tech-leadership/management roles.

What You Bring (Requirements)

• Deep Python Expertise: A proven track record of substantial backend development in Python – A must.
• AI/ML Integration Experience: Significant, hands-on experience integrating and deploying AI/ML models or AI-driven features into production environments – A must.
• Senior Mentality: At least 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer, with a natural tendency to look at the "big picture" (architecture, system design, and cross-team workflows).
• POC Executioner: Experience leading technical research, spiking new features, and validating architectures through rapid prototyping.
• The Right Mindset: A passion for staying hands-on with code, combined with the communication skills and ambition required to lead processes and influence engineering culture.

• Location: Tel Aviv (Hybrid model: 3 days a week from our vibrant TLV office).
