Hardware Development Engineer (Board Design)

Role Description:

We are looking for a mid‑level Hardware Development Engineer (3–6 years of experience) to join our R&D team. Reporting to the Hardware Team Manager, you will work on the development of both new and existing boards for a complex system in the medical domain.

You will be responsible for schematic design, testing (using lab equipment, simulation tools and external resources), hardware component integration, and leading bring‑up and debugging processes. This is a hands‑on role that requires close collaboration with hardware, software, mechanical teams and other stakeholders to deliver a high‑quality, regulated product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop complex electronic boards, from concept through schematic and bring‑up
• Define, select and integrate hardware components in line with system requirements and safety standards
• Perform hands‑on lab work: bring‑up, debugging, measurements and validation using a variety of test equipment
• Run simulations and analysis as required to validate design choices
• Work closely with software, mechanical and system engineering teams to ensure seamless integration
• Support design reviews, documentation and transfer to production

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from a recognized institution
• 3–6 years of experience in hardware development (beyond testing roles only)
• Proven experience in board design for complex systems
• Experience working with regulations and component safety standards (e.g. medical / safety‑critical or similar)
• Strong hands‑on lab experience and practical use of hardware test equipment and tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and ownership mindset
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
