Mars Security is an early-stage cybersecurity company building a new category of security technology, backed by deep hands-on experience from offensive security, threat intelligence, and security operations.

We're building a platform that lets security teams run continuous threat hunting and detection engineering across their existing stack. Most SOCs cannot tell you which active campaigns their environment would catch today. Mars closes that gap.

About The Job

We're looking for a highly skilled Product Designer to own the user experience and design of the Mars platform - from shaping how analysts and detection engineers do their daily work, to crafting a unique look and feel that reflects our brand values. You'll work hands-on across the different product pillars and workflows while collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the UX/UI of Mars's products, from ideation to implementation.
• Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to define requirements, shape roadmaps, and establish design processes that scale with us.
• Translate complex security workflows- threat hunting, detection rule lifecycle, MITRE ATT&CK coverage analysis - into clear, intuitive interfaces.
• Build and evolve the Mars design system and visual language.
• Run user research directly with design partners and end users (SOC analysts, detection engineers, security leaders) to ground decisions in real workflows.
• Consistently share your work - early ideas, in-progress flows, and polished designs -with cross-functional team members, leadership, and customers.
  
  

• You have 5+ years of experience as a product designer
• You bring an excellent understanding and eye for visual design principles and maintain high standards in your work
• You have a track record of designing elegant solutions to complex, data-heavy B2B products
• You have a strategic mindset and are ready to play a crucial role in shaping the team's product strategy and roadmaps
• You have experience fostering strong collaborations with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales to deeply understand customer issues
• Proven experience in initiating user research studies - e.g. usability testing, user interviews, A/B testing etc.
• Previous start-up experience - Must (we move fast )
• Experience with Figma and design systems - Must
• Cybersecurity, SOC, or developer/data tools background - advantage
