Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Compliance Officer team member role based in Greater Monrovia. The team member will help implement and monitor compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to internal rules and external regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include reviewing transactions and processes, identifying potential compliance risks, and escalating issues as needed. The role involves preparing and maintaining compliance reports, supporting internal and external audits, and tracking corrective actions. The Compliance Officer team member will also assist in staff training on compliance-related topics, collaborate with program and finance teams to ensure regulatory alignment, and maintain clear, professional communication with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Demonstrated Analytical Skills to review data, identify patterns or irregularities, and assess compliance risks effectively.
• Effective Communication skills, including clear written reporting and the ability to explain compliance requirements to diverse teams.
• Foundational knowledge of Finance to understand financial transactions, documentation, and related compliance implications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
• Experience in compliance, audit, risk management, or a related function within NGOs, financial institutions, or regulated organizations is an asset.
• High ethical standards, attention to detail, discretion with sensitive information, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
