Summer Intern Analyst — CRE Underwriting

PlexAI is building the AI underwriting platform for commercial real estate. Our agent, Sam, analyzes deals end-to-end — processing offering memorandums, rent rolls, and T-12s to surface outputs that operators and acquisition teams actually act on.

We're looking for a summer analyst who can get inside the product and help us build the financial models that power it.

What you'll do

• Build, maintain, and improve underwriting Excel models across asset types: multifamily, retail, industrial, and senior housing
• Work directly with the product team to translate model logic into platform features
• Identify gaps in existing models and propose improvements grounded in real deal experience
• Stress-test assumptions and document methodology to support Sam's outputs

What we're looking for

• Hands-on experience building or working with CRE underwriting models
• Comfortable across multiple asset types — not just one
• Strong Excel fundamentals; you fix broken models, not just fill them in
• Bonus: experience with debt deals, not just equity — DSCR, debt yield, sizing, waterfalls
