Fractional or Full-Time Head of Growth Marketing, DevTools
Skyhook is looking for a Head of Growth Marketing to help us build and run our growth engine end to end.
We’re open to either a fractional / part-time engagement or a full-time role for the right person.
We’re building developer tools for teams running on Kubernetes, with a focus on visibility, troubleshooting, dependency mapping, and developer self-service. Our open-source project, Radar, is already getting big interest from developers and platform engineers, and we want to turn that interest into a repeatable growth motion with a hosted version.
This is a hands-on role. We’re not looking for someone who only creates strategy decks. We’re looking for someone who can go from idea to execution: campaign concept, copy, ads, landing page, tracking, conversion, and iteration.
What You’ll OwnYou’ll lead growth experiments across paid and organic channels, mostly focused on LinkedIn and Reddit. That includes:
- Building and running paid acquisition campaigns on platforms such as LinkedIn and Reddit.
- Writing ad copy and testing different angles.
- Creating or guiding landing pages that convert.
- Setting up tracking, reporting, and basic funnel analysis.
- Improving conversion from traffic to demo requests, trials, or qualified conversations.
- Testing audiences, messaging, offers, and creative.
- Turning learnings into a repeatable growth playbook.
Paid acquisition is the main focus, but we’d love someone who can also help with product and developer marketing. Examples include:
- Sharpening positioning and messaging for Radar and Skyhook.
- Creating product marketing content.
- Writing or guiding strong Reddit and LinkedIn posts with sensitivity to the open-source community.
- Helping us reach relevant influencers, newsletters, communities, and DevOps creators—important!
- Turning product features into clear use cases and campaigns.
- Packaging open-source interest into a stronger conversion motion.
You’re probably a good fit if you meet the following requirements:
- Must-Have: Experience in DevTools, infrastructure, Kubernetes, cloud, DevOps, or open-source.
- Must-Have: Proven experience running DevTools growth campaigns (generic B2B SaaS experience is not enough).
- Must-Have: Demonstrated experience with AI agents, deeply integrating them into your growth workflows.
- Strong hands-on experience with LinkedIn Ads.
- Experience or strong curiosity around Reddit as a growth channel.
- Ability to write sharp copy for technical audiences.
- Comfort working with technical products and developer/platform engineering audiences.
- Good instincts around landing pages, conversion, and funnel optimization.
- A bias toward small experiments, fast learning, and measurable outcomes.
- The ability to operate independently without a large marketing team around you.
This is not a pure ads-operator role. It is also not a pure brand, social media, or content role.
We need someone who can connect the full journey: message → campaign → ad → landing page → conversion → learning → next experiment
