Operational Director

Are you an experienced multi-site leader passionate about shaping early childhood education?

Newton Network is seeking a dynamic Operational Director to oversee, mentor, and drive performance across a cluster of our early years centres.

Sitting between our Centre Managers and the VP of Operations & Quality, you will blend strategic oversight with a strong field presence to cultivate high-performing, autonomous, and compliant nurseries.

 Role Overview

 * Full-time, 42 hours per week

 * ~70% field-based (visiting centres at least once every two weeks) & ~30% head office

Key Responsibilities

 * Performance & Accountability: Line manage 5–10 early years centres; hold formal monthly reviews to drive budget targets, occupancy, and operational excellence.

 * Capacity Building: Coach and empower Centre Managers to lead their facilities with high autonomy and independence.

 * Quality & Compliance: Partner with pedagogy and quality teams to implement Quality Improvement Plans and ensure strict adherence to safeguarding and Ministry of Education regulations.

 * Financial Oversight: Manage unit economics, optimize staffing costs, track enrollment pipelines, and justify financial variances.

 * Network Growth: Support the operational setup of new locations and lead post-merger integration for newly acquired centres.

What We Are Looking For

Required:

 * Education: BA in Education or a closely related field.

 * Languages: Fluent in both English and Hebrew.

 * Leadership: Proven capability in managing, developing, and holding leaders accountable.

 * Business Acumen: Strong financial awareness (budgets, occupancy, KPIs, staffing costs).

 * Logistics: Full driving license and access to a vehicle for frequent travel.

Desirable:

 * 5+ years of early years leadership experience (multi-site or area management preferred).

 * Diploma in Daycare Management or equivalent Israeli Ministry of Education qualification.

 * Deep understanding of the Israeli Ministry of Education regulatory framework.

 * Experience with organizational turnaround, center development, or post-merger integration.
