SQA Team Lead

Elbit Systems Aerospace division in Haifa is looking for an SQA Team Lead

As an SQA Team Lead, you will manage a Software Quality Assurance team with full responsibility for software quality across projects, leading audits and certification processes, and serving as the key interface with customers. In this role you will

Manage and lead the SQA team, including mentoring, professional development and employee evaluations

Own overall software quality across programs and lead the SQA strategy in projects

Lead the adaptation of software quality processes to relevant standards and their implementation in projects

Lead internal audits, including planning, execution and gap closure follow-up

Verify, review and approve software quality documents at the project and organizational level

Manage customer interfaces as the quality POC (managerial point of contact)

Lead qualification and approval processes for software development subcontractors

Lead prepזration for formal reviews, customer audits and certifications, including coordination of work teams

Drive continuous improvement of SQA processes and implementation of Best Practices

Requirements

B.Sc. in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Industrial Engineering and Management

At least 5 years of experience in software development or software quality assurance, including managerial experience (direct or matrix)

Experience in team management or professional leadership of SQA practitioners - an advantage

In-depth familiarity with standards, processes and tools (development, requirements management, testing, configuration management)

Experience in leading audits, writing professional documents and working fluently in English and Hebrew

Familiarity with safety or software certification processes per DO-178C - an advantage

Knowledge of development methodologies for military or airborne applications - an advantage

Familiarity with AI tools and automation for integrating AI into processes - an advantage

Broad systemic perspective and deep understanding of development processes, ability to work across multiple interfaces, drive processes, mentor and lead, assertiveness, independence and excellent interpersonal skills
