Role Description

This is a diverse professional role that goes beyond end-of-line quality control. The Quality Engineer will be an active partner in engineering decision-making, transition from development to production, failure investigation, process improvement, and quality assurance of complex products.

Qualifications

• Provide engineering-quality support for projects from development through production
• Write, review and approve quality plans, inspection plans and work procedures
• Participate in FMEA processes, risk analysis, and process and product validation
• Take part in engineering reviews and development-to-production transition reviews
• Lead failure investigations, failure analysis, corrective and preventive actions
• Handle customer complaints, deviations and non-conformities
• Participate in MRB processes
• Support suppliers and subcontractors in quality-related processes
• Collect, analyze and present quality data for continuous improvement
• Work with customers, engineering teams, drawings and production files

The role requires the ability to combine attention to detail with a system-level view, work with both people and data, and connect quality standard requirements with complex manufacturing reality.
