The Opportunity

We are seeking a current PhD candidate in the behavioral sciences to lead the conception and development of a brand-new research initiative.

In this role, you won’t be grading papers or doing mundane data entry. You will be the intellectual architect of a new project: translating high-level clinical and business goals into a rigorous research plan and implementation framework that studies how specific Behavioral Change Techniques (BCTs) drive and sustain meaningful dietary change.

This is a rare opportunity to see your theoretical knowledge directly influence dynamic, real-world digital health platforms and preventive care frameworks from our Tel Aviv office.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Research Strategy: Own the end-to-end conception, scoping, and development of a comprehensive research plan mapping BCTs to dietary interventions.
• Build the Blueprint: Establish a structured implementation framework that our product, engineering, and clinical teams can use to deploy, pilot-test, and scale these dietary interventions.
• Bridge Industry & Academy: Conduct targeted literature synthesis to anchor our commercial and clinical strategies in proven behavioral models (e.g., COM-B, Transtheoretical Model, BJ Fogg).
• Define Success Metrics: Formulate the methodology, outcome measures, and evaluation metrics required to measure the true efficacy of our behavioral interventions on dietary compliance.
• Executive Collaboration: Synthesize complex behavioral concepts into actionable insights and present your frameworks directly to company leadership.

Qualifications & Skills

Because this role requires high autonomy and the ability to build a framework from scratch, we are looking for a self-starter who thrives where science meets business.

Required:

• Current Doctoral Candidate: Actively enrolled in a PhD program in Behavioral Sciences, Health Psychology, Behavioral Economics, Public Health, or a closely related field.
• Theoretical Mastery: Deep understanding of behavioral change theories, intervention design, and BCT taxonomy.
• Framework Creator: Prior experience designing research protocols, study methodologies, or implementation frameworks.
• Commercial Mindset: Ability to translate dense academic literature into clean, structured, and actionable industry frameworks.

Preferred:

• Research focus or strong interest in nutritional psychology, metabolic health, or early-life/family dietary behavior change.
• Familiarity with digital health interventions, mobile health (mHealth) design, or implementation science.
