About This Role

At Aidoc, data is our most significant asset, driving product innovation and delivering critical business intelligence. As such, the Data-Nexus engineering team serves as a pivotal pillar within our R&D department.

We are seeking an expert Team Leader to guide a group of skilled data engineers. In this role, you will architect, implement, and support Aidoc's data infrastructure whilechampioning our long-term data vision.

Responsibilities

• Direct, mentor, and empower a team of data engineers, overseeing project roadmaps, priority management, and cultivating a high-performance culture rooted in technical mastery and accountability.
• Define Aidoc's data strategy and technical standards, architecting sustainable,
• high-scale solutions that remain resilient over the long term.
• Uphold rigorous technical standards and product quality while driving
• innovation and ensuring reliable delivery within an agile framework.
• Take ownership of Aidoc's diverse data assets, serving as the primary
• technical authority for data-related inquiries across the R&D organization.
• Partner with Engineering, Data, Product, and BI stakeholders to promote data
• integrity and facilitate informed decision-making through the creation of
• mission-critical tools and features.
• Contribute as an active member of the R&D Leadership Forum.
  

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with data engineering and backend systems
• 3+ years of experience in team leadership roles.
• Experience with Python or a similar coding language, with a strong focus on cloud data infrastructure and scalable systems.
• Strong command of SQL and a track record of pragmatic schema design.
• Deep understanding of data modelling, ETLs and streaming technologies, including hands-on experience with tools like big-data tools like AWS Kinesis / Kafka, Spark.
• Familiarity with modern lakehouse / warehouse tech, like Databricks, Delta Lake, Iceberg, Snowflake, Redshift.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, like Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools - Docker, Kubernetes (K8s).
• Ability to take full product ownership from ideation to delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and a customer-oriented mindset. Clear English communication is required.
