Technical Operations Lead

Speedata is modernizing analytics infrastructure with the first purpose-built ASIC processor, the Analytics Processing Unit (APU), for analytics and AI data workloads. Delivering up to 100x faster Apache Spark performance while cutting infrastructure TCO by 90%, the APU executes analytics operations directly in silicon with seamless integration and no code changes.

We're looking for a hands-on Team Leader to own and drive the Technical Operations function at a critical inflection point for the company.

This is a player-coach role, you will both manage the team day-to-day and personally execute on high-priority tasks.

You will be the primary interface between Field Engineering, R&D, and Operations, ensuring that customer-facing and internal technical work moves forward without friction.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering or Practical Engineer degree, with proven experience managing labs and technical staff.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in system-level testing, hardware validation, lab engineering, or technical operations, preferably in semiconductor, hardware startup, or complex systems environments.
• Experience leading or mentoring technical teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong Linux server administration, command-line troubleshooting, and scripting/automation skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with R&D, field engineering, and management teams.
• Experience using Jira (or similar ticketing systems) and managing hardware inventories across multiple projects.
• Self-driven, analytical, and capable of conducting complex root-cause investigations with minimal supervision.
• Fluent in Hebrew and English.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Tech-Ops / Systems Integration team, prioritizing tasks, removing blockers, and ensuring timely execution.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for Field Engineering issues, troubleshooting complex problems and coordinating resolution with R&D when needed.
• Manage team workflows, assignments, and agile processes to maintain visibility, accountability, and delivery.
• Oversee APU/PCIe hardware inventory, configuration, tracking, and shipment for internal and customer deployments.
• Execute characterization and validation activities to evaluate product capabilities, performance, and limitations.
• Drive process improvements, hardware certification efforts, and the maintenance of technical documentation, test procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
