About the Role

We're looking for an R&D Lab Technician to build, test, and iterate prototypes in a fast-paced autonomous systems environment. You'll work across electromechanical assembly, 3D printing, and CNC machining, turning engineering specs into physical hardware. Your work directly enables our teams to test faster and deploy smarter robotic platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electromechanical components, prototypes, and test systems
• 3D print parts and models from engineering files using FDM/SLA printers
• Operate CNC machines to mill carbon fiber plates and composite materials
• Design simple 3D-printed or CNC-machined solutions independently when needed
• Provide technical support to field-testing teams with on-site adjustments and repairs
• Perform soldering and basic electronics work
• Troubleshoot failures and participate in Root Cause Analysis
• Collaborate with R&D engineers, PMs, and testing teams to solve problems fast

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in electromechanical assemblies
• Ability to read and work from eDrawings
• Strong technical aptitude with close attention to detail
• Problem-solving mindset with improvisation and creative thinking
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Service-oriented with a can-do attitude under pressure

Preferred Skills

• Experience with 3D printing and operating 3D printers – an advantage
• Experience with CNC machining or milling – an advantage
• Background in electronics and soldering – advantage
