responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of research systems in an experimental quantum physics laboratory focused on advanced quantum phenomena.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain systems in the fields of vacuum technology, cryogenics, mechanics, and electronics.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, implement technological upgrades in accordance with research needs, and develop and establish new experimental infrastructures.
- Design and build advanced experimental setups and equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and support to researchers and students.
- Manage laboratory equipment and inventory.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders within the institute and external partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Experimental Physics, or a related engineering discipline – required (Master's degree is an advantage).
- Hands-on experience working with complex systems, including vacuum, cryogenic, and mechanical systems
- Experience in the design and construction of components and systems – required.
- Proficiency in CAD software – a significant advantage.
- Experience with control and automation systems (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, or similar), preferably in a research environment or R&D industry – an advantage.
- Excellent command of Hebrew and English, including technical English.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Systems-level engineering perspective, analytical thinking, and strong problem-solving skills.
