Back End Developer (Scala)

Wanted: Scala Developer for a Digital Entertainment company in Europe. This is a very rewarding full-time and Hybrid / Remote position.

The chosen candidate will spearhead the development of high-scale, event-driven distributed systems powering a globally recognized entertainment platform backed by a 100% proprietary technology stack. Job Responsibilities:

● Design, build, and maintain highly scalable and resilient backend services using Scala.

● Develop and optimize distributed, event-driven systems leveraging Akka/Pekko and Kafka.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features that deliver real product value.

● Troubleshoot production issues, optimize system performance, and participate in a periodic on-call rotation.

Job Requirements:

● At least 3 years of proven professional experience building robust backend applications with Scala.

● Deep expertise in building resilient distributed systems using Akka/Pekko and Kafka messaging patterns.

● Strong product-minded approach with a track record of driving technical solutions based on business outcomes.

● Exceptional organizational, proactive ownership, and communication skills with professional-level English proficiency.

● Familiarity with modern infrastructure and database technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, NoSQL, or ElasticSearch.
