Job Summary

EBV Elektronik is looking for a motivated Field Application Engineer to support customers and drive business growth in Israel. This person will drive demand creation for assigned technologies, providing comprehensive technical advice and deep technical support to meet / exceed the design win and gross profit goals in his/her customer base. Interface with the engineering departments of customers and suppliers. Performs a variety of product, technical and engineering functions including but not limited to: pre/post sales support, research, design and development.

What You'll Be Doing

• Achieve demand creation and profitability targets for assigned technologies through focused design-win activities.

• Collaborate with account managers and marketing teams to deliver innovative solutions and grow design-in revenue.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customer engineers, decision makers, and supplier partners.
• Develop expert-level knowledge of assigned technologies, products, and their applications.
• Analyze customer requirements to create tailored technical proposals that maximize product portfolio use.
• Lead and manage DWIN projects with proper documentation, tracking, and closure from design to production.
• Organize and deliver technical events, trainings, and demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and influence design choices.
• Leverage digital tools for design validation, prototyping, and optimization across customer projects.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and market trends (e.g. Edge AI, Cybersecurity, HMI) and translate insights into customer strategies.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

The Ideal Person

• 5+ years experience of application engineering, R&D, or technical support in the electronics industry.
• Ideally has experience with digital MCUs and MPUs.
• Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor products, technologies, and market trends.
• Proven ability to manage customer relationships and identify new business opportunities within an assigned territory.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with sales teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
