The role is part of a growing modem research team responsible for analyzing proprietary wireless communication signals and designing modulators and demodulators as part of an advanced counter-drone product.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyze proprietary wireless communication signals using sampled data and advanced PHY algorithms.
- Define radio characteristics such as sample rate, modulation scheme, error correction, spreading techniques, and additional PHY parameters.
- Implement and simulate full modem concepts using MATLAB or Python.
- Design, analyze, and optimize PHY algorithms for performance, robustness, and product integration.
- Guide and support FW, DSP, and FPGA teams during concept implementation, integration, and debug.
- Analyze and debug PHY algorithm behavior and drive continuous performance improvements.
Required Qualifications
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. with specialization in communications, or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering / Communications with relevant experience- must.
- At least 3 years of experience in algorithm development and design of high-speed modems or radio-based products- must.
- Strong experience with PHY algorithms and communication systems- must.
- Deep understanding of digital signal processing, RF fundamentals, and communication theory- must.
- Experience with MATLAB or Python- must.
- Experience in OFDM signal design- must.
- Independent, self-motivated, and able to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced R&D environment
