Head of Mechanical Guidance & Control | Aviation Division

We are looking for a Head of Mechanical Guidance & Control to join the Engineering & Development Center within IAI’s Aviation Division.

The position includes:

• Managing and leading a team of engineers in the field of Mechanical Guidance & Control

• Full responsibility for the development and mechanical design of steering systems, mechanisms, and mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for aircraft and aviation platforms

• Leading end-to-end development processes – from concept definition, through detailed design, testing and production support, to integration and final assembly

• Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering interfaces including Development, Manufacturing, Integration, Testing and Customers

• Working according to aviation standards and civil certification processes

What we’re looking for:

Requirements:

• Israeli citizenship

• B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in the mechanical design of mechanisms and mechanical systems in the aerospace industry

• Experience performing dynamic and kinematic analyses

• At least 5 years of direct management experience leading engineering teams

• High level of English (reading, writing and speaking)

Additional criteria (advantage):

• M.Sc. degree

• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

• Experience working with suppliers and subcontractors, including engineering supervision and control activities
