Hardware Engineer – Medical Devices

• Contribute to the design and development of existing and new electronic hardware for medical devices, ensuring robust and reliable performance in

clinical settings.

• Perform board-level bring-up, debugging, and system-level testing to validate hardware functionality.

• Work closely with Mechanical Engineering teams on enclosure interfaces, connectors, cables, and

thermal considerations to ensure seamless integration.

• Collaborate with Software Engineering teams on bring-up activities, integration efforts, and

debugging sessions.

• Support hardware verification and validation activities, including preparation and execution of test plans.

• Assist with internal and external testing by supporting test setup, device configurations, and clarification of test requirements.

· Support testing of medical devices to applicable safety and performance standards, such as IEC 60601

· Prepare and maintain comprehensive hardware documentation including schematics, bills of

material, test plans, and test reports.

• Support design transfer activities from R&D to manufacturing, focusing on design for

manufacturability and production readiness.

• Interface with suppliers and manufacturing partners to resolve technical issues.

• Follow quality system requirements and regulatory processes throughout development activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

• 3-6 years of hands-on experience in hardware design and development

· Experience supporting EMC and Safety compliance including working with external test laboratories.

• Practical experience with digital board design and debugging in

complex hardware systems.

• Strong hands-on laboratory skills including proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies and soldering tools.

• Experience working effectively in cross-functional, multidisciplinary

R&D teams

• Ability to prepare clear and structured technical documentation with

attention to details.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills to

address complex technical challenges
