We are hiring an hands-on DevOps Team Leader to to join our global R&D organization

to lead and mentor a global team of DevOps engineers (local and abroad).

This role combines strong technical execution with people leadership and operational ownership.

The DevOps Team Leader will drive automation, reliability, scalability, and security across cloud and CI/CD platforms

while working closely with development, QA and architecture teams.

Location: Petah Tikva, Israel (Hybrid model)

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage local and global DevOps team of engineers
• Set priorities, goals, and execution plans aligned with group objectives
• Conduct task planning, execution, and delivery tracking
• Mentor and grow team members technically and professionally
• Perform code and design reviews
• Act as a senior hands-on contributor in DevOps activities (not only managerial)
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks
• Lead cloud infrastructure design and operations (AWS/Azure/GCP environments)
• Own infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• Lead Kubernetes and container platform operations and improvements
• Drive platform reliability, performance, and cost optimization
• Implement DevSecOps practices and security controls across pipelines and platforms
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent \ or army service with proven experience in leading DevOps domain
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or related roles
• At least 1 year of experience leading a DevOps team
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably using Terraform
• Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD processes and pipelines
• Solid hands-on experience with Linux-based systems
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or Groovy
• Experience working with Git-based source control platforms such as Bitbucket or GitLab
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure
• Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience working with Java and Maven
• Experience working with AI-powered coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) within development environments
• Proven ability to effectively use/develop AI Agents
• Proven ability to effectively use/develop/configure MCPs
• Proven ability to effectively use/develop skills
• Proactive, open-minded, and solution-oriented
• Strong team player with high integrity and positive interpersonal approach
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to quality
• Fast learner with the ability to work independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
