Software Engineer

Role Description This is a contract, hybrid Software Engineer role based in Haifa, with flexibility to work from home part of the time. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain backend and fullstack components that power custom software solutions and AI-driven tools. Daily work includes implementing clean, maintainable code, integrating with third-party APIs and internal systems, and optimizing performance and reliability. The role involves collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand requirements, refine technical specifications, and deliver secure, scalable solutions. The Software Engineer will also participate in code reviews, write tests, document technical decisions, and help improve development processes and tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building production-grade applications.
• Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases, and system integrations.
• Solid understanding and practical use of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in modern languages.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with AI/ML integrations, data pipelines, or automation tools is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage time independently, and collaborate across distributed teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
