Role Description: Founding CTO

As our Founding CTO, you will be the absolute technical anchor of the company. In this role, you aren’t just managing -you are building. You will partner directly with the founders to translate our business vision and market validation into a scalable, secure, and production-ready FinTech platform from scratch.

This is a hands-on, 0-to-1 execution role demanding a builder's mindset. You will establish the core architecture, lead the technical development, and lay the cultural and technical foundation for the engineering team we will scale together post-funding.

Key Responsibilities

• Core Architecture & Development: Own the technical roadmap. Design, architect, and deploy the initial infrastructure and core system logic of the platform.
• Tech Stack Ownership: Evaluate and select the optimal technologies, tools, and frameworks required to build a secure, compliant FinTech system.
• Security & Compliance Foundations: Ensure the architecture is built from day one to support the data privacy, security, and compliance standards critical to financial institutions and global commerce.
• Product Collaboration: Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the founders to rapidly iterate on the MVP based on market feedback and technical feasibility.
• Future Engineering Leadership: Establish system engineering standards, documentation, and technical best practices, positioning yourself to recruit and lead a world-class engineering team following our upcoming US funding round.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Proven 0-to-1 Experience: You have previously built complex software products from scratch, ideally within early-stage startups or as a founding technical leader.
• Exceptional Systems Engineer: Deep expertise in systems architecture, database design, cloud infrastructure, and core backend logic.
• FinTech or RegTech Background: Experience handling financial transactions, cross-border data, API integrations, or high-security compliance environments is a significant advantage.
• AI/Data Familiarity: Understanding of data engineering, automation workflows, or integrating AI/LLM layers into production environments.
• Pragmatic Executioner: You know how to balance long-term architectural health with the short-term speed required to ship an MVP.
• Ownership Mindset: Highly autonomous, comfortable with ambiguity, and thrives when taking full responsibility for technical execution.
