Devops Data Engineer

A leading organization is seeking a DevOps Data Engineer for a high impact role focused on the technological implementation and adoption of the OpenMetadata platform across enterprise environments. This position involves building an automation-driven infrastructure, deploying and managing the platform, developing Python based pipelines, and creating integrations with existing data systems.

The role includes working in a secure cloud environment, managing CI/CD processes, hardening systems, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the technical implementation and adoption of OpenMetadata across the organization.
• Deploy, configure, and manage the platform across multiple environments.
• Develop automation for metadata ingestion, data lineage, and data quality processes.
• Build platform customizations and extensions to meet organizational requirements.
• Design and implement integrations with existing data systems.
• Work with secure cloud infrastructure and regulated environments.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes for platform components.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Data Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience deploying and operating open-source platforms and systems.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and building CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, including DWH, Data Lakes, and ingestion pipelines.
• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP).
