Agricultural Pilot & Applied Innovation Lead

MIGAL’s Regional Development Unit promotes applied innovation, agricultural pilots, field implementation processes, and regional entrepreneurship in collaboration with farmers, technology companies, researchers, and partners from Israel and around the world.

As we expand our activities, we are seeking a proactive and dynamic field professional to lead agricultural pilots, field trials, and innovation activities, working across disciplines with farmers, agricultural organizations, researchers, policymakers, technology providers, and industry stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities

• Plan, establish, manage, and oversee agricultural pilots, demonstration plots, and field observations to evaluate new technologies, systems, and products under real-world conditions.
• Work closely with farmers and growers to identify suitable sites, build long-term partnerships, and support ongoing field activities.
• Collect, document, and consolidate field data and insights to support learning, decision-making, and implementation.
• Coordinate between diverse stakeholders, including researchers, technology companies, entrepreneurs, regional partners, and business development teams.
• Lead field activities within regional and international projects related to innovation, regenerative agriculture, AgTech, and regional development.
• Monitor project budgets and field activity expenditures.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and professional service providers.
• Present processes, insights, and outcomes to partners, management teams, and professional delegations.

Requirements

• B.Sc. degree in Agronomy, Plant Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field – required.
• Proven hands-on experience in agricultural fieldwork and in leading pilots and/or applied projects – required.
• Familiarity with agricultural innovation, entrepreneurship, and AgTech – a significant advantage.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to work with information systems, sensors, monitoring platforms, and technological tools.
• High level of English proficiency, including speaking, writing, and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders, from farmers and growers to companies and research organizations.
• Strong ability to work independently, with excellent organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to drive processes forward.
• Experience with project management, documentation, and monitoring tools – an advantage.
• Residence in Northern Israel – required.
