Aseptic Manufacturing Facility Engineer

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

General Duties

• Responsible for the operation, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of critical facility systems supporting aseptic manufacturing activities.
• Ensure proper operation and compliance of cleanroom environments and supporting infrastructure according to GMP and safety requirements.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities for critical systems and laboratory infrastructure.
• Support continuous operation of manufacturing and laboratory activities within the Advanced Biotherapy Center (ABC).
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors, service providers, and equipment vendors.
• Maintain accurate documentation for maintenance activities, deviations, repairs, and calibration records.
• Participate in investigations related to facility or equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all engineering and maintenance activities are conducted according to SOPs, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Support qualification, validation, and commissioning activities of facility systems and equipment.
• Participate in emergency response activities related

Education and or Work Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science-related field, Engineering field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a GMP Quality, Engineering, or Manufacturing role (or combination thereof) within a commercial biopharmaceutical, cellular therapy, or gene therapy organization (minimum of 1 years).
• Previous experience in maintenance and operation of critical systems within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Experience working with cleanrooms and GMP-regulated environments.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, clean utilities, controlled temperature storage systems, and laboratory infrastructure.

Specialized Knowledge or Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to independently manage maintenance activities and prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of GMP principles and engineering compliance requirements.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and calibration activities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Fluent Hebrew and English communication skills (written and verbal).
