Role Description

This is an 80% position, operating on a hybrid model (2 days from the Tel Aviv office and 3 days from home), for the Head of Consumption. The role involves leading the organization's campaigns and initiatives to promote circular and sustainable consumption. Responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies focusing on key areas such as plastic, fashion, and food, managing cross-functional projects, and engaging with key decision-makers. The Head of Consumption will also oversee public outreach initiatives, represent Greenpeace in the media, and contribute to the organization’s overarching goal of preventing a global temperature rise of more than 1.5 degrees Celsius.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sustainability, environmental advocacy, or related fields.
• Strong leadership and team management skills to guide cross-functional teams toward shared goals.
• Strategy development and campaign planning experience, including monitoring and evaluation.
• Excellent communication skills, including public speaking, stakeholder engagement, and report writing in both Hebrew and English.
• Understanding of sustainable consumption practices, environmental policies, and green technologies is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects, and meet strict deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with external partners such as NGOs, government agencies, and community organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• A commitment to environmental conservation and Greenpeace’s mission and values.
