Enlight, a leading global renewable energy company publicly traded on NASDAQ and TASE, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Director of Business Development - MENA (Middle East North Africa)
Responsibilities:
- Identifying and originating utility scale Wind, Solar PV and storage opportunities
- Enlight growth strategy execution: co-development agreements, project/pipeline acquisition, platform/company acquisition
- Leading transaction contracts negotiation and due diligence processes until the transaction closes (A-Z), in close cooperation with other company functions (Global Development, Engineering, Procurement, Finance).
- Growing Enlight’s market presence through development of strong relationships with key stakeholders and channels (developers, advisors (technical, legal, financial), project funders, EPCs, equipment suppliers, etc.)
- Carrying out market research for new markets, involvement in strategic planning process and market presence strategy
- Initiating, leading, and executing of cross-company’s projects
- Managing a team of 5 employees, including setting priorities, overseeing execution, and supporting professional development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Engineering / Finance / Law – a must, MBA or Master’s degree – an advantage
- Minimum 5 years experience and track record in the field of infrastructure with specific power/renewables experience as a clear advantage, covering roles in renewable energy IPP or developer, equipment supplier(s), EPCs, renewable energy consulting companies, private equity or renewable asset management funds, or similar front end roles. Preference
- Strong understanding of general transaction management (managing internal resource/consultants, transaction timeline), project finance, capital structuring an power projects development (land, grid interconnection, permitting)
- Proven experience in managing employees and leading teams – mandatory.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, assertiveness, initiative and personal integrity
- Excellent negotiation skills in various cultural environments and with various stakeholders
- Ability to understand and operate complex financial models to assess the returns of multiple projects
- Ability to concisely and clearly present complex concepts/opportunities in both verbal and written contexts Broad and deep business and commercial understanding
