Senior Staff Hardware Engineer

A leading technology company developing advanced sensing and detection systems is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Hardware Engineer to join a multidisciplinary hardware team focused on next-generation low-altitude platform detection and tracking technologies.

This role combines deep expertise in high-performance digital hardware design with system-level understanding of advanced RF and signal processing environments. The engineer will lead the design and development of complex hardware platforms operating under demanding performance, EMC, and environmental requirements, while collaborating closely across hardware, FPGA, RF, software, algorithms, and system engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end hardware development of complex electronic systems, from architecture through mass production
• Design high-speed digital boards and power delivery solutions for performance-critical applications
• Define system architecture, component selection, detailed schematics, layout guidance, bring-up, validation, and production transfer
• Develop robust solutions for electrically noisy environments while ensuring EMC compliance
• Drive technical decisions across digital processing, RF interfaces, signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal considerations
• Collaborate closely with RF, FPGA, software, algorithms, and system engineering teams to optimize overall system performance
• Support integration, debugging, verification, and continuous product improvement

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• 15+ years of experience in complex digital hardware development, including Board Design, High-Speed Interfaces, FPGA, and MCU-based systems
• 10+ years of experience in power supply design (AC-DC, DC-DC, control, filtering, protection, EMC compliance)
• Strong hands-on experience in advanced digital processing environments, including digital beamforming and/or complex RF-based systems

• Proven experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Advanced wireless communication systems (5G / 6G)
• Digital signal processing for RF applications
• Transmission and reception architectures (Tx/Rx chains)
• High-performance RF-integrated platforms
• Electronic sensing, communication, or radar-related systems
• Strong understanding of signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), EMC, and thermal design considerations
